Comprehensive Euro Disney Travel Guide, featuring up-to-date information on Euro Disney travel, Euro Disney hotels, Euro Disney tours

The very mention of Disneyland or Mickey Mouse is enough to bring a shout of glee from children of any age. Disneyland theme parks have long been considered as the epitome of exciting activities, innovative games, and the perfect opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their kids worldwide. The Disneyland theme park in Paris is no different.
Also known as the Euro Disney Park, the construction for this huge entertainment complex, 2,000 hectares, began in August 1988. The park was finally completed and thrown open for visitors on 12th April 1992. The Disneyland Resort or the Euro Disney Area, Paris is a complete holiday and recreation resort in Marne-la-Vallée, a new destination located in the eastern suburbs of Paris. Located at a distance of 32 km (20 miles) from the heart of Paris, the Euro Disney area belongs to the territory of the commune of Chessy.

The resort features two theme parks, a huge entertainment complex, and seven hotels owned by Disney. The Disneyland theme park in Paris is one of the most popular tourists’ destinations in all of Europe, with over 14.5 million people visiting it in 2007 alone! The total complex consists of Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios, Disney Village, and Resort Hotels including Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Hotel New York, Disney's Newport Bay Club, Disney's Sequoia Lodge, Disney's Hotel Cheyenne, Disney's Hotel Santa Fe, and Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch.

The Disneyland Hotel in Paris is located just near the entrance of the Park and is the most prestigious hotel on the complex. The Disney's Hotel New York, Disney's Newport Bay Club and Disney's Sequoia Lodge are surrounded by a water body known as Lake Disney, while the Disney's Hotel Cheyenne and Disney's Hotel Santa Fe are also located close to the Lake Disney, the Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch, as the name suggests is located outside the resort perimeter in a woodland area.

A magical and innovative place with some of the most adored and loved cartoon characters as well as fairy tale characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Aladdin, there are rides such as Space Mountain: Mission 2 and numerous other thrills and adventures for adults as well. One of the most crowded attractions is ‘It’s a Small World,’ which has 281 Audio-Animatronics® figures, 247 animated accessories and 48 animated toys. Other family fun activities include games such as Pirates of the Caribbean and the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. One of the most redeeming features of the Euro Disney area is the Golf Disneyland that consists of two 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses.

It’s easy to reach the France Disney area. There is the Marne-la-Vallee railway station that offers regular connections to the suburban RER network and the TGV high-speed rail network to travel to and fro from the theme parks and Disney Village. Those travelling from London can visit Euro Disney area on the Eurostar. The Disney administration also provides free shuttle buses to all Disney hotels.

The timings for Disneyland Park are 10:00-19:00 and for Walt Disney Studios are 10:00-19:00.
